Welcome to the home of

Following in the footsteps of true masters of Shotokan karate. Come and walk with us.....

The Japan Shotokan Karate Association (Scotland) was formed by the amalgamation of a small number of 'like minded' instructors and experienced dan grades who sought to progress their karate within an evolutionary yet traditional Shotokan organisation.

At the JSKA Scotland we not only respect one another as karate-ka we consider each other as good friends, all working together for the benefit of all members.

JSKA Scotland subsidise advertising campaigns for our member dojo's, run courses, competitions, residential training camps and provide access to the JSKA Scotland Karate Team who compete in regular European and World Championships. We hosted the 2nd JSKA European Championships in 2015 in Glasgow and are sending a large team to the JSKA European Championships in Hungary 2017.

All instructors run their dojo's without interference but within the JSKA structure. The JSKA Scotland organise professional coaching seminars for its members (i.e first aid, coaching qualifications, etc) in order to maintain the highest standards.

We hold full international membership of JSKA and has NAKMAS as our national governing body. We also hold affiliate membership to the SKA which enables our members access to regular, local competitions.

The JSKA Scotland never forgets that it serves its members. Join us, work with us, grow with us and enjoy the journey.
